Futerra last month worked with the Department for International Development (DFID) on an exhibition to launch the Department’s Water and Sanitation Policy. Charting through the foul-smelling times of the Great Stink in 1858; visualising what present day London might look like if we did not have sanitation systems and reliable access to clean water; showing that as a reality for a large proportion of the world today and; illustrating what DFID is doing to stop the stink! Futerra helped develop the concept for the exhibition, designed exhibition materials and worked in collaboration with Squint/Opera to create the photographic representations of a malodorous present day London.
