So Google are launching a smart phone (November is UK launch), the G1 exclusive to T-Mobile - in the initial suite of applications shipping with the phone in it's US launch will be a natty little number called 'ecorio' which will calculate your car..

I’ve been trailing Bye Bye Standby. It is a remote controled device that alows you to turn off a plug with out the hassel, stress and planning needed to flick a switch. All you need to do is press a button! Not sure about it’s eco crede..
