Naughty or Nice? Santa’s Sustainability Report
Posted by ed in blog December 16, 2011Seasons Greetings! We Futerrans believe it’s essential that all organisations combine clear transparency with credible action on sustainability. Materiality is key and plans must reflect both good green housekeeping and transformation of the core business. The big roly-poly beardy dude in the scarlet suit is no exception. As one of the world’s biggest toy manufacturing and packaging concerns, with a global market of billions and a logistical operation of seemingly impossible temporal and geographic scale, it’s time Father Christmas came clean. So we are delighted to announce Mr S. Claus Inc’s first formal sustainability report. In it Santa fesses up to internal challenges around employee working conditions, sexual harassment cases and bullying incidents whilst at the same time celebrating progress on carbon mitigation, diversity and charitable fund-raising.
So has Santa been sustainably ‘Naughty or Nice’? You decide. Comments and suggestions, in a spirit of open stakeholder dialogue, are of course welcome…
Download the report here. Festive best wishes!
