Emily comes from Shropshire and studied in Cardiff, where she lived and explored her Welsh half for 6 years. Being brought up in the countryside and a passion for Wales inspired her interest in sustainability. She decided to move to London to see what all the fuss is about, and ended up as a Designer for Futerra. Emily tries to tread lightly by walking to work a couple of times a week and shopping locally. At Futerra she has enjoyed helping Waltham Forest council increase the borough’s recycle rates by 35% through positive messaging and design. When not thinking about sustainability, Emily can be found drawing, making things, or talking nonsense with a big glass of wine. Obsessions and passions include cats, positivity, yoga and typography.
