Britons support green taxes

The latest poll from the Guardian/ICM shows that the British public is far more supportive of fiscal mechanisms to change behaviour than the Government might like us to believe. The poll shows that 63% of the public approved of a green tax to discourage behaviour that damages the environment and householders would spend up to £331 each to make their homes more environmentally friendly. All heartening stuff!
