My first “Swish”…

My first “Swish”…

Last night I was christened into Swishing

The ‘Summer Swish’ was held at Futerra and filmed by the BBC for this Saturday’s Breakfast Show – no pressure ladies…

I was part of the Futerra support crew, so in my dual role as intern/Swisher I was happy to hang back and watch the process unfold – but that’s not to say that I went home empty handed either!

I nonchalantly eyed a couple of items during the evening and went into cahoots with a fellow Swisher. The deal was this: I held her son, the only male allowed to attend, apart from the BBC cameraman, while she tried on a few things. Then when the Swish was declared open she grabbed the two skirts on my behalf as well as her own ‘finds’ :)

I had a ball getting to know my fellow Swishers. The fabulous clothes gave us all an excuse to chat, drink wine, extend our wardrobes with funky attire and do a good deed for the planet.

Half the fun is watching others try on stuff and getting to ‘ooh’ and ‘ah’ at all the outfits that emerge. One of the highlights of the evening was definitely when some of our swishers were asked to model their ‘finds’ for the BBC, and boy did they strut their stuff – go girlfriends!
