Weeping Tears of Oniony Joy
Posted by: Henry Hicks[Yes 'oniony' is a word, countdown fans]
I love The Onion. I love (the old) Superman films. I also love Al Gore quite a lot.
So this piece on The Onion entitled 'Al Gore Places Infant Son In Rocket To Escape Dying Planet' made me weep mirthful tears of joy. Go on, read it now.
The Environmental movement is often portrayed as taking itself too seriously and, yeah, it can be pretty bleak but that doesn't mean we can't laugh, even if it is gallows humour.
Below is the trailer for the original Superman. That was a great film. Any more climate change/movie crossovers? Lettuce know.
