Introducing... the Futerra Film Club!

For a few hours last Wednesday night, our meeting room was transformed into a cushy bohemian screening room, complete with ambient lighting and homemade popcorn courtesy of culinary wonders Emily and Jeff.

The occasion: Futerra’s first film club evening, the brainchild of and superbly put together by Miss Georgina Combes!

The film: ‘How to Make a Difference in Africa’, a documentary that follows Sorious Samura to Ghana where he observes firsthand, the success of the bottom-up development strategies employed by charity Afrikids.

The verdict: the film club was a success! We had a full house and a great discussion afterwards, which duly continued in a nearby pub. And we raised about 50 pounds in popcorn donations, which will go to Afrikids in encouragement of the wonderful work they’re doing.
