Green communicator, 24, Male, WLTM...

Some people say the green community is a bit ‘close’.

Come to think of it, I’m sure I’ve seen surreptitious winks across tables at CSR conferences (not to mention the odd strategically dropped recyclable business card)…

Networking events in the green sphere invariably result in a blushing group of admirers ogling at the bloke with the biggest…ethical wardrobe.

And all this in Britain, where amorous inclinations are strenuously held hostage behind handshakes and cups of tea!

I suppose it’s unsurprising then that more audacious steps towards easing the frustrations within the green community are being taken on the other side of the channel.

Indeed the French site ‘Amours Bio’ (which translates into the frankly more earthy ‘organic love’) aims to help lustful greens ‘who want to share their passion for nature and animals’, or even ‘meet a vegetarian’ (crumbs!), realise their fancy.

The slickly-named ‘Changement_climatique_237’ beams at you from his profile picture - in some verdant utopia – no doubt offering one lucky greenie an evening that will clarify just how he’s come to be known for global warming.

Despite this, I think the creators of Amours Bio are onto something. Making green issues sexy could be the key to unlocking hearts, if not minds, on sustainability.

(Incidentally, this is something ‘Fairtrade_Henry_01’ from Futerra picked up on a while ago.)

So I’ve ditched my business cards, and I’m hoping that my alter-ego ‘Smooth_communicator_19’ is going to spare me the occasional mistimed wink from 'Big Bob' on table 6.
