Lights out London

Posted by: Futerra team

Londoners sent a huge message to the rest of the world about climate change on 21st June.

Lights went out across London’s iconic skyline as millions of Londoners switched off in support of Lights out London, the world’s biggest climate change action.

A record three million Londoners are believed to have switched off non-essential lights and appliances, beating the figure for the Sydney Earth Hour which took place earlier this year. The small switch for millions of Londoners resulted in a saving of around 750 MWh of electricity in just one hour – enough to run 3,000 televisions for a year.

Well done London!!
