Yes Minister, we need car share!

Oyster card scheme for car share, intercity train, or local bus...?

Our good friends at Anti Apathy have just had lunch with Philip Igoe, a nice man who is developing an integrated scheme. He's off to meet senior officials at the Department for Transport to ask for £12m to get the ball rolling.

For more info, see the Carplus website

Why don't you show your support by emailing Douglas Alexander, Secretary of State for Transport, Douglas.Alexander@dft.gsi.gov.uk.

You could say something like:

Hello

I would really like to be part of a national car share network.

I hear Carplus have some good ideas about it. I think you should give them some cash to develop the scheme.

While you’re at it, I’d love it if I could just access all my transport with an Oyster card – intercity trains, car share cars, etc. And I’d like the sustainable stuff to be easier and cheaper than the unsustainable stuff please.

Yours hopefully
